A child gets their first tooth normally at the age of 6 months. This may vary upto two months either way from person to person. Some children get a tooth at birth itself (NEONATAL TOOTH) which is normal.

Normally a child start loosing their milk teeth at the age of 6.5 years from the lower front region followed by the upper front region. This vary upto 6 months either way.

Orthodontic correction can be initiated at the age of 6 years. There are various modalities of treatment which could be either removable or fixed. The upper age limit may not be very specific for all but it is advisable to start the treatment at an earlier age for best results.

If the tooth was is sound and retrieved immediately from the accident site, place the tooth either in the mouth (if possible) or in a vessel of plain milk and report to a nearby dentist at the earliest (within 2 hours).

It is absolutely a very safe and effective way of cleaning the oral cavity and improving the health. The debris collected around the teeth is completely removed and the hygiene will improve very much. Its advisable to do a cleaning at your dentist at once a year.
